Implementation of the National Cadaster

Already up and running in Luanda, Angola’s National Cadaster System is set to be expanded throughout the whole country, enabling the management of the cadaster database and the efficient monitoring of the land concession process.

Geodata and the Geographical and Cadastral Institute of Angola (IGCA) started the implementation of the solution in Cuanza Sul, the second province to install the system. Intensive training for IGCA’s staff was also carried out by the Geodata team, preparing the local team for future operations.

With these milestones, Geodata is guaranteeing its goal to support the suitable expansion of the cadaster system to the other provinces of the country.

A New Way of Urban Management

In 2023, we presented “A New Way of Urban Management” in Angola with the introduction of the National Cadaster System and Web Portal.

Expected to be implemented nationwide in the next 18 months, the National Cadaster System was developed by Geo Data to strengthen the land registration infrastructure of the country with a modern data center and improvement of the information technology control room.

World Urban Forum

Last year, Geo Data had the honor to be a part of the World Urban Forum in Katowice, Poland.

Along with the Ministry of Public Work and Territorial Planning and the Geographic and Cadastral Institute of Angola, we were able to present the National Cadaster System and its great impact on the sustainable urban development of the country.

Geodata at the Africa-GIS Conference

Geo Data was a platinum sponsor of Africa’s 13th bi-annual GIS Conference,held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire with the theme, “Geospatial Innovation & Science for Africa’s Growth and Sustainable Development”.

With Africa experiencing the world’s highest rates of urbanization, our experts shared their knowledge with conference participants, explaining and demonstrating how Geodata’s holistic 361-degree approach for geospatial management solutions enables governments to leverage property tax revenues to meet the ever-growing demand for infrastructures.

We were proud to share Geodata’s geospatial achievements before representatives from a wide range of African nations, opening the way to further collaborations throughout the continent.
